Waverly is located in Wright County approximately 30 miles west of the Minneapolis Metropolitan area on US Highway 12.

Waverly’s business subsidy policy allows the use of Tax Increment Financing Districts, Tax abatement, grants and loans (should funds be available).

Community Amenities:
Waverly is home to two lakes – recreational Big Waverly Lake and the scenic environmental Carrigan Lake.   Big Waverly Lake has two public boat launching docks and a lake front park that includes picnic tables, a pavilion, grills, playground equipment, a sandy beach, and tennis courts.  There are several other parks with playground equipment located in newer housing developments.  Waverly has a series of trails connecting newer housing developments with the elementary school, downtown, and the lake front park.

There is a wide choice of housing available with newer housing (and lots for building) located in five developments south of Highway 12.  Lake front property is available on Big Waverly Lake and a wide choice of homes are located in older neighborhoods near the Hubert Humphrey Elementary School – a State of Minnesota nominee for the National Blue Ribbon Educational award.
