Location:

Located on the western edge of Hennepin County and primarily within Wright County, the city of Rockford enjoys easy access to Metropolitan amenities while retaining its rural, small town charm. Ideally located along Highway 55, just 30 miles west of the metropolitan area, Rockford offers a mix of commercial and industrial businesses and sites available for development.

Development Incentives:

The City of Rockford offers a variety of financial incentives to qualifying businesses, including a No Interest Loan for façade/building improvements, a low interest loan program and tax increment financing. The City is also willing to serve as a conduit to obtain state and federal grants and loans.

Community Amenities

The picturesque Crow River flows through town and adds ambiance to the downtown commercial district. Riverside Community Park capitalizes on this natural feature and provides a variety of recreational opportunities along with amenities in three other city parks. The Rockford Community Center and private fitness centers provide residents and businesses with recreational and fitness options. Rockford is also home to a historical home, built in 1856, that is listed on the national register of historic properties. The Ames-Florida house is a historical gem owned by the City of Rockford and operated by the local Rockford Area Historical Society. The Rockford branch of the Great River Regional Library is located in Rockford’s downtown providing easy access for all. Rockford School District, www.rockford.k12.mn.us, provides quality education to area residents. All three schools are four-star schools, meeting the criteria on the MN School Report Card for Reading. Rockford’s River Days is an annual celebration held the second weekend in August. There are a number of community organizations including but not limited to, the Rockford Area Athletic Association, Rockford Area Historical Society, Rockford-Greenfield Chamber of Commerce, Rockford Food Shelf, Fire Department, and Lions Club.
