Development Incentives:

Rent Reimbursement Program – rental assistance to new businesses leasing spaces in the City of Hanover. Amount is equal to three months rent or $2,400, whichever is less. Minimum 12 month lease and must remain open to public for at least 12 months. Hanover Revolving Loan Fund – low interest loan program for qualified industrial or commercial buildings currently or proposed to locate in Hanover. Loan maximum at $100,000. Interest rate is Prime minus 2, minimum rate of 2% and a maximum rate of 6%. Hanover Matching Grant Program – façade improvement grant program for existing commercial/industrial buildings. Funding amount is 50% of project costs or maximum $15,000. 25% of project cost grant funded through EDA with a maximum contribution of $7500, 25% of project cost 0% interest loan though EDA-max 36 month term with man contribution of $7500. Tax Abatement • Tax Increment Financing State/Regional Programs (Business Development Public Infrastructure Program, Redevelopment Grant Program, Minnesota Investment Fund, Wright County Revolving Loan Fund, Initiative Foundation Business Loans, etc).
