Albertville has been growing at a phenomenal rate from 1,251 people in 1990 to a population of 7,044 in 2010. This rapid growth has been aided by the retail shopping amenities, which became substantial with the addition of the Outlets of Albertville. Today there are numerous retail stores on the south side of the Interstate also. In addition, a new health care clinic with a variety of services including urgent care is being built in Albertville. Because retail and industrial businesses are occurring on both sides of the Interstate highway, plans are underway to add additional infrastructure and access in I-94.
